Audiences know me for my 20 years with the legendary folk band Tamarack, for my 12 years as songwriter-in-residence with CBC Radio… ( Arthur Black show and Ontario Morning mostly), and for my solo work. Some know me for my songs covered by other artists, like “ Mining For Gold, recorded first on the Cowboy Junkies 'Trinity Sessions’ album and featured in a number of films and television commercials, and ‘Frobisher Bay’ which has been covered by over 100 artists world-wide. As a veteran performer, I’m thrilled to report that the early buzz for my new album “Wrinkles And Scars” is the best in my long career. It’s led to renewed interest in what I’m offering these days. In my other career as a writer, my ‘musical novel’ The Ark of The Oven Mitt was a finalist two years ago for the Stephen Leacock Humour Award and my rather cheeky song about the Ottawa trucker’s convoy became a viral hit with over 300,000 views on social media and YouTube. For my solo shows ( Which this would likely be)- I drag along banjo, guitar, keyboards tin whistle and harmonica. My show features songs from the new album as well as old favourites and some of the humorous songs from my CBC days. Folks say it makes for an entertaining, rewarding evening. I won’t disappoint you.
