James O'Donoghue brings their Work In Progress preview of their debut 2026 Edinburgh Fringe Show to The Hop Inn (Devizes Rd, Old Town, Swindon) as part of the Swindon Old Town Comedy Festival

James O’Donoghue is Normal is a stand-up comedy show about WW2 Soviet tank warfare, eight year old street hecklers and a very personal vendetta against Micky Mouse. It is about failing spectacularly to be a Normal Human Being, while wearing a sequinned ballgown and 6 inch heels.

Defiantly weird and wickedly funny, enjoy a ramble through the wet pulsating brain of one of the most unique rising stars of the UK comedy circuit.

Please Note:

• Those attending must be 18+
• We do not accept large parties of stag dos or hen parties, apologies.
• We do not allow people to record any footage of the event on personal cameras or phones
• Some acts may be recording their own performances, however this will not include a front-facing recording of the crowd.
• Any behaviour we deem untoward or too disruptive to the show will return in being asked to leave with the venue's policy on behaviour taken into account, also.
• You are welcome to take photos, we will be taking some on the night for social media purposes.
• This event will have on-door staff/security for your own protection.
