Get ready, Santa Cruz — Event Santa Cruz Midtown Fridays Summer Block Party is back for its 6th year, and we’re kicking off the 2026 season in a huge way with James Durbin & The Lost Boys!

Join us Friday, May 29 as Midtown Fridays returns to 1111 Soquel Ave for the start of 14 straight weeks of free live music, food trucks, local makers, specialty drinks, and community vibes all summer long.The opening night is going to be wild — James Durbin & The Lost Boys hit the stage for a high-energy season kickoff, with opening set by JAM and the Buttered Biscuits.

If you’ve been waiting for summer in Santa Cruz to officially begin… this is it.Every Friday night from May 29 through August 28, Midtown Fridays transforms the parking lot at 1111 Soquel Ave into a vibrant outdoor summer party featuring some of the best local bands, rotating food trucks, artists, vendors, family-friendly activities, and surprises every single week.

Whether you’re coming for the live music, the food, the shopping, or just to hang with your community on a warm summer evening, Midtown Fridays is the place to be.Over the last six years, Midtown Fridays has grown into one of Santa Cruz’s favorite weekly summer traditions — bringing thousands of people together to celebrate local music, local businesses, creativity, and community.Let’s make this summer unforgettable!
