Since 1962 the West Indian Social Club of Hartford, the longest-running West Indian Organization in North America, has held a week-long festival commemorating the Independence of various countries in the Caribbean with live music, dancing, food and fun.
This Celebration Week Event commemorates the Independence of Jamaica which gained Independence on August 6th, 1962.
