About this Event

Jamaica has recently been struck by the devastating impact of Hurricane Melissa, leaving families, homes, and entire communities facing unimaginable loss.

In the wake of this disaster, many people are in urgent need of shelter, food, medical care, and support to begin rebuilding their lives. This fundraiser fun is an opportunity for us to stand in solidarity with those affected and to provide some much needed relief during this critical time.

We'd like to acknowledge Emancipated Run Crew who previously put on a successful fundraiser for Jamaica that inspired us to create this one!

Run Details:

  • Meeting time: 9:30am, Walk/Run to kick-off at 10am
  • Meeting point: Jamaica High Commission
  • Ticket price: £5 minimum donation

Attendees will be organised into the following groups:

3K Walk:

A leisurely walk for reflection and to connect with others.

5K Run:

Multiple pace groups catering to all pace levels.

10K Run:

Multiple pace groups catering to all pace levels.

This is not a race. This is a community gathering for connection, culture and care.

Fundraising:

We ask that all attendees donate £5 minimum but if you can't attend or would like to donate more this would be greatly appreciated. Every contribution, will help bring hope, aid, and recovery to communities that need it most.

The chosen charity is World Central Kitchen which is in Jamaica providing emergency relief to communities impacted by Hurricane Melissa. The hurricane made landfall on October 28 with winds reaching 185 mph, leaving much of the island without power, displacing thousands, and devastating infrastructure across western and southern Jamaica. WCK kitchens are now cooking, in collaboration with more than 30 Jamaican restaurant partners, to help provide comfort and hope to families recovering from the destruction. The Relief Team is also supporting local community kitchens with cooking equipment, ingredients, and other vital supplies to help keep them operating for their neighbors.

Together, we’re running for hope.
For recovery.
For families rebuilding.
For a nation known for its spirit and pride.

Go Go Glow Running is a run club built on connection, resilience, and the belief that running is always more powerful when done together. With some of our members having deep ties to Jamaica, this cause sits close to our hearts. As a team, we’re joining forces with to raise vital funds to support communities across Jamaica rebuilding after the recent hurricanes.

For us, this isn’t just another race—it’s a shared mission. Every step we take reflects the strength of unity, the joy of moving as one, and the commitment to show up for people who need it most. Our club thrives on empowerment, encouragement, and looking out for each other, and today we channel that same energy to stand with Jamaica.

Go Go Glow Running is honoured to run/walk side by side with ROCUP , RAFP and BFTLDN for a cause that matters—and grateful to everyone who supports us in turning our miles into meaningful impact.

Please grab a ticket to donate and come out and run to show support to the community of Jamaica!🇯🇲

There will be no bag drop, so please come ready to run! Feel free to wear the colours of the Jamaican flag!
