Presentation of the Idea: A Non-Profit Association with the Power to Own a Limited CompanyWe are establishing a non-profit association with the long-term vision of becoming a platform for cultural, social, and creative development. The association is built on democratic principles, open membership, and voluntary engagement — allowing it to apply for public and private grants to support its activities.
One unique aspect of our model is the possibility for the association to own and operate a limited company (aktiebolag), enabling income-generating activities that align with the association’s purpose. This hybrid structure allows us to maintain transparency, reinvest surplus into community projects, and bridge the gap between voluntary work and professional sustainability.
The upcoming concert — organized by the association — serves as both a cultural event and a public demonstration of our concept. It raises awareness, builds our audience, and showcases the potential of our venue: a freestanding workshop building located on the property. This space can be used or rented for performances, recordings, exhibitions, or other creative initiatives.
With the right support and partnerships, this model creates opportunities for local engagement, artistic expression, and social innovation — rooted in tradition, yet adaptable for the future.
