Come out to the third annual McKinney Literary Fest organized by the McKinney Public Library for a day of indie author tables, book signings, artwork, readings, panel discussions, two guest speakers, and more.
It takes place at City Hall (401 E. Virginia Street) on Saturday, May 30 from 9-5pm.
Jalyn Renae Fiske is a featured local author whose short story collection, SIDE QUEST: STORIES, has garnered multiple indie author awards. Most recently, SIDE QUEST: STORIES was a Finalist in the 2025 Chanticleer International Book Awards for Collections & Anthologies category. It collects science fiction, fantasy, and horror stories that she's been writing and publishing since 2016 in magazines, anthologies, and podcasts. Come grab a copy, get it signed, and she just might have some bonus linocuts for sale, too! Jalyn will also be giving a reading at 2pm.
