Jake Leckie creates acoustic organic soulful folk-jazz for the people! With firm roots in bebop, his playing is informed by classical, gospel, latin, folk, & hip- hop. His performance credits include Sixto “Sugarman” Rodriguez, The Harlem Gospel Travelers, Matthew Whitaker, Warren Wolf, Hitomi Oba, Susan Alcorn, Matana Roberts, Christopher McBride, Grammy® Award-winning Latin Big Band Pacific Mambo Orchestra, The Havana Jazz Festival, The Montreal Jazz Festival, and The Newport Jazz Festival. He has produced three albums of original music, The Abode (Outside In Music 2019), The Guide (Ropeadope 2022), and Planter of Seeds (2024).
