The only Jail Training Officer program designed by Correctional Officers for Correctional Officers certified by STC.
21 CLETS, LLC, offers a 40-hour class designed by and for Corrections to provide a standardized program to guide Jail Training Officers. This class will include identifying different adult learning modalities and how they impact trainees. Additionally, we will identify the roles and responsibilities of a JTO, which includes documentation, education, and identification of deficient areas.
This class will include overviews on a wide variety of topics, including; Legal liabilities, Effective coaching styles/methods, Identify 3 key teaching styles: Cognitive, Affective, and Psycho-Motor skills, Differentiate effective/ineffective communication, Examine JTO Manual, evaluation guidelines and training assignments, Body Cameras, Sexual Harassment, and more.
