Jade Rabbit Welcomes Spring 玉兔迎春賀新禧

農曆新年又嚟啦！即使我們身在英國，仍然可以一齊感受新春節日氣氛！Barnardo’s 與英國港僑協會合力舉辦年宵活動，與居住在英國的香港人一起迎接新一年嘅來臨。

?活動內容：攤位遊戲、湯圓製作、賀年燈籠製作、手寫書法揮春、港式茶點、面部彩繪、

支援在英港人資訊講座、私人戶外遊樂場

?注意事項：

1. 場地可容納嘅活動人數有限，故此年宵活動將分設三個入場時段，以控制人流及為參加者提供舒適的活動空間。如參加者數目超出場地可容納人數上限，入場人士需要輪候入場。不便之處，敬請原諒。
2. 除咗登記入場門票外，如果你想參加湯圓製作、賀年燈籠製作及支援在英港人資訊講座，需額外登記相關活動嘅入場門票。
3. 活動當日主辦機構會安排攝影師在場拍攝活動花絮。如不希望被拍攝容貌，可於登記門票時一拚登記「要求索取手帶」，以茲識別。

湯圓是將甜餡料(例如芝麻、花生或紅豆等等)釀入糯米糰並搓成小圓球的一種傳統應節甜點，寓意一家人團團圓圓。參加者可學習如何製作湯圓，及了解湯圓的意義。

Barnardo’s, Migrant Help 與Renaisi 聯手舉辦講座，為BN(O) 港人介紹在英支援服務，包括情緒支援、家庭及社區支援及就業支援。

Barnardo’s

Barnardo’s 是英國最大的兒童慈善機構，自1867年起為弱勢兒童提供援助。Barnardo’s 每年服務超過30萬名兒童、青少年及其家屬，服務遍佈英格蘭、威爾斯、蘇格蘭及北愛爾蘭。Barnardo’s旗下的Boloh 熱線，為居於英國的難民、烏克蘭人及BN(O)港人提供建議和協助，包括食物券、通訊設備援助及心理輔導服務。BN(O)港人可透過電話、電郵或網頁裡的聊天室向Boloh熱線查詢，工作人員可以英語或廣東話與你溝通。Barnardo’s 亦有合專業資格的治療師團隊透過電話或視像會議與有需要人士進行心理輔導。

英國港僑協會

英國港僑協會(HKB)成功獲得國家資助，支持其開展如就業和精神健康等綜合服務範疇。英國港僑協會伴同其他七個組織將會推行名為Mission PERM「移英港人家園計劃」計劃，此計劃提供遍及全英國的支援服務，旨在協助香港英國國民(海外)護照持有人及其家人融入本地，與英國國家政府四個歡迎香港人的政策目標一致：

Migrant Help

Migrant Help為難民、奴隸制及人口販賣受害者、歐盟定居計劃、BNO港人提供支援。Migrant Help推出「Hong Kong Welcome Program」，為BN(O)香港人提供就業相關的支援、教育及訓練服務。項目內容包括職業技能評估、就業指引、撰寫履歷表、面試技巧訓練及了解本地工作文化、自僱或創業資訊。Migrant 亦設有翻譯服務，幫助服務使用者用熟悉的語言了解就業支援服務。

The Lunar New Year is coming and here's an opportunity to enjoy and celebrate the Lunar New Year festival right here in the UK! Barnardo’s and Hongkongers in Britain are hosting a community event to celebrate the Lunar New Year here in the UK.

?️Date: 14 January 2023 (Sat)

?️Time: 10:15 am – 12:00 nn (1st session), 12:00 nn – 2:00 pm (2nd session),

2:00 pm – 4:00 pm (3rd session)

?Venue: Living Space, 1 Coral St, Waterloo, London, SE1 7BE

(5 mins walking distance from Waterloo, Lambeth North or Southwark underground

station, or 5 mins walking distance from Waterloo or Waterloo East tram station)

?Content: games, rice dumpling making, lantern making, calligraphy, face painting, information session on support service for HKers, HK style refreshments, outdoor playground

?Fee: Free

?Remarks:

1. Due to limited venue capacity, many events will be divided into three sessions. Visitors may need to queue for certain events if the number of participants exceeds the venue capacity.
2. As well as registration, you may need to also register for specific events such as rice dumpling making, lantern making or the information session.
3. A photographer arranged by the organizer will take photos at the event. If you do not wish for your photo to be taken, please request a wrist band when registering for admission tickets.

Glutinous rice dumpling (湯圓) is a traditional dessert that are stuffed with sweet fillings (for example, sesame, peanut, red bean etc) and have a symbolic meaning of family reunion. In the workshop, children will learn rice dumplings making and understand the symbolic meaning of the dessert.

Barnardo’s

Barnardo’s is the UK’s largest children charity and has been supporting disadvantaged children since 1867. Barnardo’s help over 300,000 children, young people and their families every year, with service covering across England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. The Boloh Helpline service under Barnardo’s give advice, practical support (e.g. food vouchers and devices) and emotional support to asylum seekers, Ukrainian and Hong Kong BN(O) settling in the UK. Hong Kong BN(O) can contact Boloh service by phone, email or chat box in helpline website whilst our helpline advisors contact with you in either English or Cantonese. Barnardo’s therapist team is available for service users to meet with over phone and online meeting.

Hongkongers in Britain

Hongkongers in Britain (HKB) and 7 national/ regional VCSEs have launched Mission PERM, providing UK-wide wide support for BN(O) integration in line with the UK government's four national objectives of welcoming Hongkongers. The project's strategic focus is on key pillars of integration during the initiate settlement. The mission aims for

• facilitating Employment,

• building community Relationships, and

• safeguarding Mental health/wellbeing

Migrant Help

Migrant Help is providing support service to asylum seekers, refugees, slavery and human trafficking victims, and Hong Kong BN(O). Migrant Help is launching ‘Hong Kong Welcome Program’ and providing employment support service to Hong Kong BN(O). The service includes skills assessment, career guidance, CV writing, interview skills, understanding the UK work culture, self-employment and business training in UK. Migrant Help will use translation service to ensure service users are supported in their own language and fully understand the support, options and services available to them.
