Jacquelyn’s Jewels is a jazz gala celebrating humanitarianism, great jazz, education, and sealing the juvenile offender to penitentiary pipeline. The gala benefits Maranathan Academy, a nonprofit 501(c)(3) alternative school exclusively for critically at-risk youth and adult students. Maranathan Academy’s primary goal is breaking intergenerational cyclical dependency on government assistance.
Attendees will be moved by the work and mission of Maranathan Academy, inspired by honorees The Honorable Jim Hughey III (Ret), Mediator with Schreiber ADR, LLC Barbara Royal, founder of Momentum, and Stanley Virciglio, CEO of Piggly Wiggly Stores, and captivated by an extraordinary evening of performances featuring Elias Hendricks of Vox Fortura, a Britain’s Got Talent semi-finalist; international jazz legend Marion Meadows; and iconic Grammy-nominated vocalist Kenny Lattimore.
Attire: Attendees traditionally wear ensembles ranging from Business to Cocktail to Evening Elegant.
