Jacob Khalil is a New York City singer, pianist, and songwriter known for his joyous original songs and “a voice that soothes the soul” (FOX 5 TV).

From performing on Saturday Night Live with Sam Smith to headlining sold out shows at Birdland, Jacob has covered a lot of ground — being called “affable and sunny” by The New Yorker and “iconic” by Fox 5 TV. His music has a rich jazz influence matched with a fresh modern sensibility, drawing comparisons to John Legend and Harry Connick Jr.

Since moving to New York City in 2020, Jacob has been a regular headliner at Birdland Jazz Club where his performances have been hailed as “a joyful experiencing of the music, with patrons clapping along and swaying in their chairs…” (Broadway World) Jacob’s live shows move between heartfelt originals, crowd winning improvisation, and inventive interpretations of modern classics.

In May 2024, he captivated an audience of 3,000 while opening for Jake Scott. Earlier that year, Fox 5 NY aired a full segment on Jacob, offering an in-depth look into his musical journey and original music.

Jacob’s style resonates with fans of jazz-influenced artists like Jacob Collier and singer-songwriters such as Ben Rector. Originally from Houston, TX, Jacob honed his craft in New York City's piano bars, jazz clubs, and professional choirs, which continue to shape his unique sound. He regularly performs at iconic venues like Birdland, City Winery, 54 Below, Mercury Lounge, The Cutting Room, and Minton’s, among others.
