Environmental Education and Pitch Development Workshop, open to youth 15-24 for Manatee Tank: A Youth Pitch Competition for Sustainability.
About this Event

Jacksonville University is hosting an engaging experience that introduces Young people ages 15-24 to Jacksonville's environmental challenges and opportunities while helping them develop competitive project ideas.
This workshop will Include:

• Welcome and overview of the Bloomberg Youth Climate Action Fund and Mantee Tank: A Youth Pitch Competition for Sustianbility application process.
• An introduction to Jacksonville's Sustainability & Resilience priorities.
• A Larkin excursion on the St. Johns River, using the river as a living laboratory to explore local environmental challenges and inspire project ideas.
• Interactive sessions on project development, including identifying community needs, building partnerships, developing measurable outcomes, budgeting, and preparing a compelling proposal and pitch.

Jacksonville University's hope is that Youth aged 15-24 will leave not only with stronger proposals, but also with a deeper understanding of sustainability in Jacksonville, new connections with peers, and the confidence to turn their ideas into action.

Note: This workshop is open exclusively to young people ages 15–24. Additional workshops and public information webinars for youth-serving nonprofit organizations, educators, mentors, and community partners will be announced soon. Minors MUST have guardians sign the
