Singer-songwriter Jackie Vensons version of the blues a mix of R n B and psychedelic rock has invigorated Austins music scene with its refreshingly electric sound. She became the first Black woman to be named Best Guitarist at the Austin Music Awards, and recently performed at Rolling Stones Future of Music showcase at SXSW. Blending elements of synthpop, electronic, prog, rock, jazz, and blues, Vensons blazing a path uniquely her own, filled with throbbing beats that recall decades past while lighting the way ahead. Kam Franklin is a singer-songwriter, music producer, activist, writer, orator, model, visual artist, and actress from Houston, TX. Best known for her work with the gulf coast soul band, The Suffers, she began singing gospel music at the age of five.
