With the WZF competition coming up mid-February, this really unique session is designed to help you feel clearer, calmer, and more confident when competing - whether it’s your first comp or your tenth - we’ve got you!

💫 What to expect:
1️⃣ Prelims vs Finals – Live Exercise
Understanding the difference between how you should dance in prelims, semis & finals, and how to adapt for each round.
2️⃣ Criteria Roulette
A fun competition game created specifically for this session to help create precision & clarity.
You’ll be split into small groups and randomly given only one judging criteria to focus on during your dance.
(Timing • Teaming • Technique • Performance • Complexity).
3️⃣ Supportive & Fun Competition-Style Battles (with a twist!)
We created a unique battle challenge (2 couples at a time) to help you understand you’re not judged in isolation… you’re judged in comparison to who else is competing.
4️⃣ Safe Final vs Risky Final (My favourite part!)
A very amusing and clever exploration of two very different (and very valid) competition strategies:
“The Safe Final” (clean, calm, trustworthy)
“The Risky Final” (bold, expressive, high contrast).
Learn when each one works, when it doesn’t, and how to choose your strategy intentionally.
5️⃣ Spotlights & Live Feedback
Short, clear, constructive feedback to help bridge the gap between what you feel and what judges actually see.
Always optional - no pressure!
