Jab We Met ( Hindi ) is a 2007 Hindiromantic comedy film written and directed by Imtiaz Ali . The film is produced by Delhi`s Mehta through Sri Ashtavinayak Cinevision Ltd andwill be the fourth film co-starring stars Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor . Tara Singh and Soumya Dandon, the dominant actresses of the North Indian film industry, played supporting roles. The film tells the story of a sensible Punjabi girl who elopes with a dejected Mumbai businessman to Delhi one night when everyone else is asleep. When he gets down at a station on the way and tries to get him back on the train, they lose their belongings somewhere in the middle of nowhere. He had no other purpose in his mind except his corporate job until she forced him to help her elope with her real lover.
