Jaane Pehchaane Anjane-NCPA

Written and Directed by Gajendra Ahire, Jaane Pehchaane Anjane is a poignant Hindi musical play that explores human connection within a contemporary, middle-class milieu. Featuring music by Anu Malik and lyrics by Kausar Munir, the production brings together an evocative blend of storytelling and song.

The play stars Anupam Kher and Swaroop Sampat, alongside a strong ensemble cast including Meghna Malik, Maya Sharma, Vikas Rawat, Shraddha Mandale, and Herman De Souza. With choreography by Chirag Aggarwal, costumes by Lehan Devadhia Tibrewal, and set design by Nitin Nerurkar, the production is visually and emotionally immersive, under the management of Artarena Creations.

mSet within the intimate world of neighbouring lives — a widow, a widower, a young paying guest, and a woman navigating mid-life separation — the narrative unfolds through sharp dialogue and grounded realism. Each character grapples with solitude in their own way, reflecting on societal expectations while searching for moments of joy amidst emotional voids.
