Junior Achievement of El Paso is bringing the JA Stock Market Challenge™ presented by Marathon to our local youth! We are supporting and empowering local high school students by introducing them to essential concepts about the stock market, the influence of current events, and the art of investment. Join us in our mission to promote financial education and prepare our students for a brighter future. In a high-energy, fast-paced simulated environment, the JA Stock Market Challenge encourages teams of 4 students to work together, leverage each other's strengths and weaknesses, and use critical thinking skills to put their market knowledge into practice to analyze market trends, fine-tune their stock selection skills, cultivate financial acumen, embrace the risks and rewards of trading, and understand the benefits and difficulties of investing long-term.
On May 6th, teams will receive 1,000,000 to invest in fictitious stock. Once the opening bell is rung, the market opens and every 60 seconds is a new trading day. After 60 days, the team with the highest ROI will be crowned the JA Stock Market Challenge Champion!
