“I’m Doing Everything Right. So Why Am I Still Gaining Weight?"
About this Event
You’re eating more protein. You’re trying to make healthy choices. You’re walking. Maybe you’re even lifting weights.
You’re doing so many of the things you’ve been told you’re supposed to do.
So why does it feel like your body didn’t get the memo?
If you’ve found yourself saying, “I’m doing everything right and I’m STILL gaining weight,” this workshop is for you.
Join Heather Lynn, founder of Well After 40, for a practical, honest conversation about why weight and body composition can change during perimenopause and beyond, why some of the things that worked for you in the past may not work the same way now and what your 40+ body actually needs.
Because the answer usually isn’t eating less, exercising more or finding another diet to follow.
We’ll talk about:
• What’s changing hormonally during perimenopause and why it matters
• Why muscle becomes increasingly important after 40
• How protein, fiber, carbohydrates and healthy fats fit into the picture
• Blood sugar, insulin and why they matter more as we age
• Why stress and sleep can affect hunger, energy and body composition
• Why strength training matters and why more cardio isn’t always the answer
• The difference between weight loss and changing your body composition
• Simple changes you can start making without completely overhauling your life
This isn’t a workshop about chasing a smaller body or punishing yourself into weight loss.
It’s about understanding why your body may be responding differently now and learning how to nourish, move and support it in a way that makes sense for this stage of life.
Come learn, ask questions and leave with a clearer understanding of what might be getting in your way and what you can do next.
