What can we do to activate our values in times of devastating cuts to international development aid? Microfinance! Microfinance is a powerful and immediate way to alleviate the injustice of extreme poverty. We have the capacity - individually and collectively - to make a real difference in the lives of global women entrepreneurs seeking to lift themselves and their families out of extreme poverty.
Join iZōsh International for an uplifting and educational event that gives you the opportunity to experience the joy of an iZosh Chapter Event. We’ll explain how microfinance works and, using the lending portal Kiva, we’ll grant business loans to women around the world in real time!
To date, iZosh chapters have granted 1,095 women a total of $378,644 in microloans.
This is a FREE event where we will be reinvesting money from prior loans that have been repaid to iZosh.
The Chapter Event Experience is a welcoming space created to provide an opportunity to learn about women living in extreme poverty. It is suitable for ages 10 and up.
Light snacks will be provided.
