IWBI Healthy Building Policy Summit 2026 | September 29, 2026 | Washington, DC
Georgetown University, McCourt School of Public Policy, 125 E St NW
This fall, the International WELL Building Institute (IWBI), in partnership with the Georgetown Global Cities Initiative, is proud to host its third annual Healthy Building Policy Summit in Washington, DC, building on the momentum of two highly impactful convenings that have helped shape and elevate the national conversation on healthy buildings. Returning to Georgetown University, this year’s Summit will convene an influential cross-sector group of policymakers, government officials, industry leaders and experts at a pivotal moment for the future of building policy.
As the conversation evolves, the Summit will explore how policy is increasingly driving outcomes at the intersection of health, sustainability and performance. From advancing a health-first agenda for schools to unlocking the role of buildings in supporting brain health, human performance and long-term resilience, this year’s program reflects a field entering a new phase of maturity and impact. The Summit will spark dynamic discussion, foster deeper alignment across sectors and accelerate progress across key policy priorities, ranging from indoor air quality and emerging technologies to private sector market leadership, innovation and research and the growing wave of health-focused policy proposals. Attendees will engage in dynamic conversations about policy actions that can accelerate the creation of healthier environments, while learning from leading voices shaping the next generation of policy and practice. The Summit will also highlight Members of Congress and Administration officials who are advancing policies that position buildings as essential infrastructure for health, productivity and resilience.
