Now is the time to plant your seeds.Master Gardener Karen Slinkard will share tips for sowing seeds successfully when it’s still hot in this free, hands-on workshop at Davis United Methodist’s Grace Garden.
Karen, who has studied agriculture and grown food in Yolo County for more than 50 years, enjoys sharing her experience and tricks for success with new and veteran gardeners alike.
Grace Garden is a volunteer-run, 5/8-acre garden that provides thousands of pounds of fresh produce to help feed the hungry every year. The garden also provides teaching and outreach to educate the community about gardening, the environment, and sustainable practices.
The mission of the UC Master Gardener Program is to deliver pioneering UC research directly into the hands of people who share a passion for gardening and environmental stewardship.
