Charleston's Absent Friends brings their brand-new production of The Princess Bride to Park CircleCharleston's Absent Friends (CAF), who you know from their Rocky Horror shadowcasting, have a new number up their sleeves: The Princess Bride ! Join us for an absolutely inconceivable performance during this classic film.
Remember this is a bring-your-own seating event, so pack your camp chairs and blankets for tailgate-style viewing. Doors open at 7:30 show starts at 8:00(ish—or when the sun sets!).
Itinerant Literate will have an outdoor shop featuring Princess Bride merchandise, including special editions of William Goldman's classic, cookbooks, and T-shirts (oh, my!).
There will also be a:
-Princess Bride costume contest for a killer prize
-Princess Bride prop bags/survival kits on sale for $5 (these help with audience participation!)
-Princess Bride themed raffle featuring all sorts of P rincess Bride accoutrements! $1 tickets to enter

There are limited VIP tickets available, with which you will receive:
-Priority seating
-5 free raffle tickets
-Front of line for merch
-Front of line for photo ops
-VIP button/pin
Food & Drink
CAF will offer a snack stand with soft drinks, water, and an assortment of baked goods and salty snacks for purchase. Sales help CAF move forward with their most noble non-profit mission. �
Chugalug Wagon will be on-hand with a selection of alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages.
About the Show
What is a shadow cast? The Princess Bride will be performed live by actors, while the movie plays behind them onscreen. There are screen-accurate costumes, props, and set pieces, as well as thrilling sword fights and choreography! Come transport yourself into Florin for a night you will not forget!
