Ithaca Experimental Film Festival Presents: Your Final Meditation with short film When I Wake Up Tomorrow, Everything Will Be Different

Join us for an exciting evening of experimental film at Park Auditorium! The Ithaca Experimental Film Festival is proud to present Corey Hughes' latest feature film, Your Final Meditation with Tynan DeLong's unmissable short film, when i wake up tomorrow, everything will be different [excerpt].

Film Synopsis, Your Final Meditation: Alone in her warehouse apartment, Jodiiie plays a VR guided meditation video game to calm her escalating anxiety. The game, run by a next-generation AI algorithm, adapts its gameplay to the player’s emotions as they navigate twelve levels on a quest to achieve the ultimate goal: transcendence. Jodiiie becomes increasingly consumed by the game as the meditation descends into a maze of real, virtual, and hybrid worlds. Ultimately, Jodiiie must transcend the game itself.

Film Synopsis, when i wake up tomorrow, everything will be different [excerpt]: A bricolage memoir of two different lives running parallel, intersecting in ruminations on death, transformation and time. Visuals created and culled from the filmmaker's personal mini-DV archives. Audio taken from cassette tapes found on a sidewalk in Prospect Heights.

Directions: To reach the Roy H. Park School, arrive at 953 Danby Road. Turn onto Alumni Circle, then take the exit onto Grant Egbert Blvd. You'll soon see a parking lot on your right—park there, and you'll be at the back entrance to the Park School. The auditorium is up the stairs, and the photo gallery is on the same level as the street when you enter the back doors.
