Attenzione! Italo Disco at Grotesk!Welcome to sunny and Italo heated terrace at Grotesk. During the summer, various carefully picked guests will present their shiniest Italo disco gems and introduce their unique interpretation of the genre.
In June the host Tero Männikkö will be joined by Mr. Fantasy (SE) and Juuso Tervo (FI).
Mr. Fantasy started his career as a DJ during the ’90’s in sunny coast of Valparaiso, Chile, playing electronic music. In 2001, he moved Stockholm and later on the interest for italo disco started growing, and ever since, collecting vinyls from this genre has been an important part of his musical journey. Representing the sunniest branch of the Italo disco scene, Mr Fantasy is also known as one of the finest connoisseurs of the genre. By drawing his selection from the 70s and 80s, he will know how to make you dance to songs that are both guilty and explosive. Currently he is hosting club “La Notte é Mia” in Stockholm where Mr Fantasy has brought some of the best italian DJ`s to Sweden.
Juuso Tervo loves disco and dancing, both together and separately. Having played records since the mid 2000s, he has developed a particular taste for all things sweet and unexpected.
Tero Männikkö started as an italo disco collector, but his distinct sense of style and
increasing love for the genre has lead him to Djing as well. He has been active over decade and performed widely. Tero has organised clubs in Helsinki such as Disco Obscura, Disco Volante and Italo Disco.He has chosen the line-up for the event.
