Italy is home to over 400 appellations. Italian Wine Essentials (IWE) introduces you to 39 of the most well-known, divided into three vibrant modules: Wines of Northern Italy, Central Italy, and Southern Italy.

Explore the culture, cuisine, history, viticulture and winemaking principles behind the best and most influential wine regions of Italy to fast-track your understanding of the intricate world of Italian wine.

This is a certificate course offered by the Wine Scholar Guild. Students can chose to sit the optional exam on the final day if they wish.

Course Prerequisites: No prerequisite required.
Textbooks: Manual provided at first class.
Student Evaluation: The examination consists of a 50 question multiple choice paper. A score of 60% or higher is required to pass.
