Italian Fusion Festival

The Italian Fusion Festival is a multicultural and multidisciplinary festival organised by Radio Dublino the Italian-language Radio programme in Ireland which started in 2013. The event celebrates the encounter between Italian and Irish artistic talents through live music visual arts cinema and Italian hospitality featuring Prosecco and canapés. The festival provides a platform for Italian artists in Ireland (musicians filmmakers actors painters poets writers etc.) while spotlighting the creative synergy of bands blending Irish and Italian influences.

Now in its eighth year and supported by RTÉ and the Italian Institute of Culture the festival has become a cornerstone of Dublin’s cultural calendar — bringing together Irish and Italian artists in a unique celebration of jazz visual art film and cultural dialogue.

Music Lineup

Simone Zanchini

Renowned accordionist Simone Zanchini one of Europe’s most innovative jazz artists will headline the evening with a captivating solo performance blending classical jazz and contemporary sounds. His performance is a journey through improvisation creativity and emotion interweaving original compositions with works by Gershwin Parker Ellington and Piazzolla. His musical approach which challenges conventions and celebrates the art of spontaneity has made him a standout figure on the international jazz scene.

Luisa Annibali Quintet

Luisa Annibali one of the brightest voices in Dublin’s new generation of jazz musicians will present a repertoire dedicated to Italian music on Saturday November 15th together with her quintet. The program includes traditional music from Naples and Rome as well as songs by Pino Daniele Gino Paoli Bruno Martino Domenico Modugno and original compositions by the artist.

Lineup: Luisa Annibali (vocals) Johnathan Batista (guitar) Leopoldo Osio (piano) Alexandre Guerra (bass) Riccardo Marenghi (drums).

Julyo Trio

Julyo an award-winning multi-platinum producer guitarist and bassist will perform alongside Dario Rodighiero a Milan-born Dublin-based improviser pianist keyboardist and Grammy-nominated composer and Eva Campbell a Dublin-based singer-songwriter.

Lineup: Julyoi (guitar) Dario Rodighiero (piano) Eva Campbello (voice).

Matilde Lotti Strings Quartet

Originally trained as a classical musician but always drawn to jazz and vocal expression Matilde Lotti brings to Dublin a unique blend of pop-jazz and soft jazz through her warm voice and expressive cello playing.

Lineup: Matilde Lotti (cello and voice) Cecil Henriquez (violin) Paola Perez Beltran (violin) Elena Da Pieve (viola).
