Italian Film Screening "Il ritorno di Casanova"

The celebration of the 2025 Week of the Italian Language in the World continues!

For this year’s theme, Italophony: Language Beyond Borders, the Italian Embassy, together with the School of Linguistics and Language Studies (SLALS) at Carleton University, is pleased to invite you to a special Italian film screening.

Il ritorno di Casanova (2023), a drama directed by Gabriele Salvatores, revisits the legendary figure of Casanova in the twilight of his life. Confronting aging, lost passions, and the decline of fame, the great seducer is forced to face his own humanity in this profound and visually striking meditation on love, memory, and the passage of time.

Language: Italian with English subtitles.

The screening will take place on Thursday, November 6, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at St. Patrick Building – Room 100, Carleton University (1125 Colonel By Dr, Ottawa).

Admission is free and open to all. Seating is limited, so registration is encouraged.
