It Takes All Kinds Of Minds (ITAKOM for short) will be a conference like no other. An international conference entirely focused on the far-reaching concept of neurodiversity, drawing together personal, practitioner and academic experience.Our goal is to represent not only the latest knowledge, but also visions for the future of embracing neurodiversity. We believe that bringing together different perspectives can help us to better understand neurodiversity and to apply the neurodiversity paradigm to research and practice.
ITAKOM speakers will include neuroscientists and nutritionists, campaigners, clinicians, comedians, artists, actors, speakers with lived experience and carers to mention just a few; and they will address the topic of neurodiversity from personal, practitioner and academic experience.
Each stream of the conference is framed around a different level at which we can explore neurodiversity – Cells, Circuits, Cognition and Community. Each themed discussion will combine expertise from research and practice – with neurodivergent speakers represented in every part of the programme.
It Takes All Kinds Of Minds will leave no mind left behind.
