About this Event
This talk is not just for railway enthusiasts! Come along to hear little known Sheffield and South Yorkshire stories. You will hear stories about the major authors Charles Dickens and Anthony Trollope (who was married in Rotherham). You will discover a Sheffield post-box, fashion influenced by a novelist’s illustrator and Sheffield politics. You will meet the muse of a great English composer, and end with an important musical premier, on a very busy day in Sheffield in the year 1902.
This is a talk of many connections.
