IT Help Sessions at Kensington Central Library
About this Event
Weekly IT Help Sessions on:
- Mondays 2-4pm (please note that Monday sessions in July 2026 are taking place 3-5pm)
- Tuesdays 10am-11.30am
- Registering on Eventbrite does not count as a ticket for a specific time as the session is a drop-in. You may have to wait for a small amount of time to be seen.
- No booking required. Delivered by volunteers and overseen by library staff
We are here to help you get online. Gain support in these regular sessions to improve your digital skills and let us answer your digital queries or questions.
We can help with using the internet, apps, emails, video calls, printing, online shopping, social media, and much more.
These sessions are delivered by trained volunteers and library staff in a group setting. Our volunteers and staff can help with most things however if you have a request related to something that requires in-depth knowledge such as coding, you may be signposted to other courses or resources. Our IT sessions are not valid for fixing technical faults with electronic devices that need expert advice.

- We can help provide you with a free SIM card at this session, if you need one.
- There is a Comfortable Zone at Kensington Central Library. Speak to staff to use the zone. The zone is located in the Events Room and hosts our IT Help Sessions. It is designed to support people on their digital journey, as an accessible and welcoming space for everyone, particularly those without internet or personal devices at home, the over 60s, wheelchair users, and visually impaired residents. Get in the zone to enjoy:
- Device use during IT Help Sessions
- Desks and cosy chairs
- A wheelchair accessible space with an electric, height adjustable desk
- Ambidextrous mice, large print keyboards and noise blocking headphones (request from staff)
- A machine that captures and reads documents aloud, up to A3 in size (ReadEasy Evolve Max)
- A large screen that magnifies your documents for you, making them easier to read (I-SEE HD24)
- Software with ZoomText screen magnification, coupled with JAWS screen reading functionality (when PCs available)
- This zone develops the existing mini-Comfy Zone, upstairs on the first floor. PCs (when available) have MS Magnifier. The desks are wheelchair accessible with electric, height adjustable buttons, equipped with ambidextrous mice for your ease, as well as being arranged with large print keyboards.
