Iowa State University is looking for central Iowa residents to join a one-time, 90-minute focus group discussion this spring. If you are an Iowan adult who uses electricity, we'd like to hear from you!* During this discussion, we will talk about your energy needs and perspectives on Iowa's energy future. No special knowledge is needed. You will also see a demonstration of exciting new microgrid energy technology right here in Ames. Your views will help us to learn about local support for solutions that could improve energy reliability and lessen energy bills. Please join us!To apply, please visit the following web address:

Discussions will take place on the following dates/times:
- Tuesday, May 28th: 6:30 - 8:00 pm
- Wednesday, May 29th: 3:00 - 4:30 pm
- Wednesday, May 29th: 5:30 - 7:00 pm
- Friday, May 31st: 10:00 - 11:30 am
* Participants must be at least 18-years-old, currently live in Iowa and be at least partially responsible for an electricity bill. Full-time students not currently eligible. In order to include all perspectives, we are currently searching for more conservative participants and/or those who live in a household with a combined income of less than $50,000.
Participation in this project is voluntary and your identity will remain confidential. Refreshments will be provided and all participants will receive $60 at the end of the discussion. Must have own transportation to Ames location. Participants who bring one or more Iowan adults with them will earn a $15 bonus, so please share this invitation with others!
