IStructE South Wales Hub Group – Chair’s Address 2026

Join us for the annual Chair’s Address, delivered by Adam Williams, Director at Roger Casey Associates and current Chair of the IStructE Wales Branch Hub. Adam will reflect on his motivations and early influences growing up in Pembrokeshire, his path through university and chartership, and his progression to becoming a director at a regional consultancy.

Tea, Coffee and Welsh Cakes will be available on arrival with the talk starting at 6pm.

Adam Williams BEng (Hons), MSc (Eng), CEng, MIStructE

Adam Williams is a Chartered Structural Engineer and Director at Roger Casey Associates, based in West Wales. He currently serves as Chair of the Institution of Structural Engineers South Wales Hub Group, having joined in 2021. Since graduating from the University of Leeds in 2006, Adam has built his career at the same regional consultancy, working across South and West Wales on projects ranging from heritage redevelopments to infrastructure schemes.

Operating within a rural practice, Adam has developed particular expertise in managing numerous smaller projects simultaneously, where success depends on close collaboration with clients, architects, and other disciplines. This hands‑on involvement has given him a deep understanding of how different perspectives interact and how to steer projects to successful delivery. His portfolio includes the transformation of Haverfordwest Castle and the Saundersfoot Harbour development, showcasing both modern engineering solutions and his expertise in working with historic structures.
