The Level 2 begins once the decision is made that this is the way we actually want to live and not just a peak experience on a workshop.
You will be guided through a series of self initiations that say goodbye to old patterns of relating and anchor the identity in the deep self that is already free, inherently loving and dynamically creative in the world. A journey for those who are committed to a new way of living and feel ready to burn in the fire of their own love.
We will be held inside a beautiful nature valley, home to on an old sanctuary and ancient place of pilgrimage. Bathed by an ocean of history, Portugal has been a place for temples for over 7000 years with several stone circles and esoteric sites spread across the region, a timeless portal to dive deep into initiation.

WHAT DOES THE ISTA LEVEL 2 INTENSIVE INVOLVE?
Level 2 SSSIN is not so much a training that provides tools and techniques but an experience that transforms the self working with those tools and techniques. It is a calling forth of the love, power and presence in the essential divinity of each person.
The Shamanic initiation - At its core, it is about death and rebirth. This overcomes the fear of death in the base chakra. It is an essential component to the integration of sexual and spiritual worlds because it results in the transcendence of ego and the dedication of ones awakened powers to the collective. The result is authentic Power.
The Sexual Initiation - In Level 2 we explore the unification of our masculine and feminine, the concept of conscious penetration and sacred union. The result is Love.
The Spiritual Initiation - Meditation training and essential identity inquiry open us into our primordial awareness and provide a taste of sunyata or the void experience. The result is Presence.
PLEASE NOTE: This is an individual process that happens in a group environment and a level of ability to be self-responsible is needed to navigate the spiritual sexual shamanic space.
ISTA is a mystery school and approaches trauma from the shamanic perspective of connecting with the body and soul.
We recommend that if there is known deep-seated trauma, individuals seek one on one sessions and get approval to participate from their therapist before entering the group process.

ABOUT THE FACULTY
REX RAFIQ (Lead Facilitator)
A native New Zealander with Global and Sufi heart, Rex has been leading transformational programmes for over 30 years. Founder of Essentially Men/Men Being Real, the ground breaking men’s initiation work of Aotearoa New Zealand, co-founder of the Heart Politics Gatherings and author of Fatherless Sons (Harper Collins) and On Their Own (Finch) he is trained in group work, psychodrama, expressive therapies, peer counselling and has a masters in Social Ecology focused on Ecological Psychology.
He loves people, has deep respect for the genius in each of us, and favours self-help and peer modalities for empowering us to integrate the difficult experiences of arriving and growing on this planet, which are popularly called trauma. He has been involved in such work since he was 24 when the hidden pain of his father’s death at nine years old erupted into his awareness. The learning from that experience acutely honed his study of emotional healing, and the pathways for supporting people to trust themselves through whatever intensity life brings them.
His experience has been honed from working extensively with initiation and training in all kinds of settings from the wilderness to corporations, prisons to ashrams, and anywhere in the community people are showing up for transformation. Over his life he has explored many mystery traditions, shamanistic practices and spiritual enquiry methods. Strongly influenced by feminism in his early 20’s his outer world expressions have been diverse - from a young hunter living in the wilderness, to activism, street theatre, trainer, community catalyst, CEO of an NGO, facilitation and training facilitators. He has a solid reputation for leading potent rites of passage and known for his wise and playful style and ability to hold people with love while they shed their skin.
DAWN CHERIE (Co-Facilitator)
A lead facilitator in ISTA, Dawn is also a performer,dancer,singer, a Watsu’er and a teacher of sacred love relationships. Her work is focused on enlivening women and men to live love at their great power, using methods of movement, ritual and theater. In the last years she became passionate about the healing of woman of their shame around their sexuality and moon time, helping them to uncover their inner sacred jewel.
Dawn is an American living part time in America- NYC , having lived primarily in Israel for the past 11 years and teaching internationally. Dawn studied extensively the Five Rhythms work of Gabrielle Roth,and learned with she and Jonathan Horan for 18 years. She was in a priestessing apprenticeship in a women’s mystery school with ALisa Starkweather. Also an influential teacher along the path was that of Arkan ; a native Peruvain adopted lakota medicine man. Dawn also delved into extended trainings of David Deida, Marshal Rosenberg and non violent communication, as well as Pelvic Heart Integration training with Deborah Taj Anapol and she was also teaching in the kohennet training program in America of Hebrew priestessing.
She is the co-founder of KabaLove – The school of Love in Kabala Along with a beloved Ohad she teaches the way of sacred relationships and spiritual growth internationally. She also is in love with her snake-a red tail boa kunda(lini) who accompanies her on her healing work.
NITEN DHYAN (Co-Facilitator)
Niten is an international Tantra teacher who facilitates courses for singles and couples. He is a lead teacher at Tantra Essence and ISTA faculty teacher. In 2010, he founded "The Integrated Masculine", a "in depth" process for the modern man. In 2014, he created one of the largest Tantra Festival worldwide, Ibiza Tantra Festival. Having lived for 10 years in India, he studied Indian Classical Music and received various levels of transmission in the field of Tantra and Sacred Sexuality.
His passion for natural evolution and the subtleties of personal growth makes him a gifted facilitator. With clear insights and humour, Niten invites every participant to shake off their conditionings, breakthrough old patterns and reunite with their essential nature. He is currently based in Ibiza (Spain) and Ko Pha Ngan (Thailand).
