ISSCL Symposium “The Key to Joy: Rediscovering the Magic of Children’s Lit"

The ISSCL invites you to take a break and join in a day of creativity,
discussion, and celebration, taking a fresh look at some of our favourite books and
the joys they bring. Join a morning chat about the best of children’s books and
archives and a creative workshop on writing for children followed by lunch with old
friends and new. In the afternoon, there will be a guest talk by Professor Karen
Sands-O’Connor followed by a roundtable discussion with some of the leaders of
various Irish children’s literature organisations and launch of the special issue of
the Irish Studies Review, ‘Race, Ethnicity and Representation in Irish Youth
Literature’.
