The play evolves with a strong amalgamation of romance, hatred, sadness and hope. Basic story starts with Amrita Pritam (a famous Punjabi author and poet) and Imroz (renowned painter). Imroz is unconditionally in love with Amrita while Amrita loves a famous poet Sahir Ludhianvi. Imroz does not wish for Amrita to reciprocate.This love is one sided but it is pure and clean. After a period of time Sahir passes away. Amrita, with age becomes crippled but Imroz’s love for Amrita remains unchanged.It is an absolute love story with the flavour of excellent Urdu couplets and beautiful language.
