Ishi Baka Ciao (IBC) was founded in late 2007 in Addis Abeba.
Up to mid 2010 the band played more than 50 gigs with its own version of cover songs from the 60' to today.
The band members then continued their professional careers outside Ethiopia but continued to have reunions in Germany, Switzerland, Ethiopia and South Africa where bass player Florian "the rock" Hindelang is based.
Guest singer Cat Isaaacs, living in Phnom Penh joined the band for some gigs in Johannesburg/SA. It is where the idea was born, to bring the band to Cambodia, where also drummer Marc Zlot lives.
Guitar players, Erwin "Slowhand" Schulz and Johannes Schilling (guit/v) will travel all the way from Germany to rock Phnom Penh.
