Isha and Limsa d'Aulnay are two established names in the French rap scene, each with impressive solo careers. Isha, known for his introspective lyrics and raw authenticity, has built a loyal following over the years. Limsa d'Aulnay, with his sharp pen and sophisticated wordplay, is also known as an artist who digs deep into his personal and social experiences to tell unique stories. Although the two artists have known and respected each other for a long time, it was their first official collaboration on the song Starting Block, released in 2020 on Logique Part.2, Limsa's project. This marked an important moment in their careers, as they discovered that they had a lot in common not only musically, but also on a personal level. Out of the success of their collaborations and their increasingly close friendship came the idea of making a joint mixtape, which culminated a few months later in a new album, titled Bitume Cavia.
Bitume Cavia represents not only a unique collaboration between two influential artists, but also a symbiosis of their personal and musical journeys. The album combines their shared experiences and perspectives of life in the banlieues, the challenges of modern society, and the universal search for identity and meaning. Together they have created a sound that both honours their individual styles and brings a new, collective energy that feels both fresh and familiar to their audience.
