ISAYiT! Summer Camp 2024

A fun, friendly creative camp for children who stammer aged 8-16 years.

This year, ISA celebrates 15 years of ISAYiT!

Join us in creating a special mutlimedia edition Zine with artwork, cartoons and comics, stories, poems, and videos!

We will have lots of fun and all the usual ISAYIT! games throughout the week, finishing with a day trip on Fridy 12th!

T ickets are €75 for the week including entrance fees for the day trip.

Please get in touch with Penny for any financial assistance with the ticket cost, as this should not be a barrier to participating in the camp.

About the camp

Each day begins at 10am and the day finishes at 2.30pm. We will have break and lunch together to keep your energy up for all the fun, creative activities we've planned for you!

Who are the camp facilitators?

Jonathon Linklater, Aisling Keogh, and Penny Farrell from the Irish Stammering Association will facilitate the camp. We have also special guests who will help us create some fantastic content for the Zine!

FAQs

My child is shy, how can you help them feel comfortable coming to the camp?

We will have an online meetup in June to get to know each other and chat about the camp. This means your young person will know the others going to the camp and will feel more comfortable joining us on the first day! We will also discuss the options for the day trip on Friday 12th July at this meeting! You can also arrange a 1:1 welcome call with Penny to chat about the camp and get to know one of the facilitators, so they feel more confident on their first day!

Is there an online option?

There will be workshops for specific topics such as creative writing and cartooning. There is a special online rate to join the online workshops and the online meetup. Your young person is welcome to send in their artwork, stories, or videos to be included in the Zine!

We are away but my child wants to contribute to the Zine

We would love to include as many entries as possible so it's no problem if you can't attend the camp, that's no problem. Get in touch with Penny to discuss how your young person can contribute to the Zine.
