About the Conference

The ISAS International Conference 2024 will explore the theme ‘India and South Asia: Addressing Defining Challenges of the Century’, focusing on the critical issues shaping the region’s future. India and South Asia, home to over a quarter of the world’s population, face a unique convergence of opportunities and challenges that will determine the region’s trajectory in the 21sst century. From navigating economic uncertainties and geopolitical tensions to addressing climate change, sustainable development and technological disruptions, the region stands at a crucial crossroads.

The conference will bring together distinguished experts, policymakers and practitioners to engage in deep discussions about how India and South Asia can respond strategically to these complex, interwoven challenges. Through interactive plenary sessions, participants will explore solutions that enhance regional cooperation, foster economic resilience and strengthen governance frameworks.
