Upper Arlington native and rising star violinist Isabelle Ai Durrenberger returns to Columbus! Admission is free.This performance is part of Sunday at Central’s “Where Are They Now?” series founded in 2014. The series spotlights rising star musicians with Columbus roots.

PROGRAM
Isabelle will explore folktale and folk-inspired violin pieces from the 20th century. She and Mariko will perform “Sonate Slave” by Croatian composer Dora Pejačević; “5 Pieces for violin and piano” by Italian composer Ottorino Respighi; and Eugène Ysaye’s “Violin Sonata No. 6,” written in the style of habanera.
Isabelle grew up in Upper Arlington and graduated from the Cleveland Institute of Music and the New England Conservatory. Based in New York City, she’s currently a fellow of Carnegie Hall’s Ensemble Connect Program and performs with the renowned Orpheus Chamber Orchestra.
Seating is available on a first-come first-served basis and free parking is available. Recommended for ages 9 and older. Sunday at Central concerts are recorded and can be watched at youtube.com/sundayatcentral.
Founded in 1994, Sunday at Central is a nonprofit chamber music recital series that offers intimate, personalized traditional chamber music concerts with internationally recognized professional musicians. It’s supported in part by The Columbus Foundation’s Newton A. and Eleanor Thompson Brokaw Unrestricted Fund; the Ingram-White Castle Foundation; the Greater Columbus Arts Council; the Ohio Arts Council (which receives support from the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency); The Loft Violin Shop; and the Johnstone Fund for New Music.
