About this Event
Isaac Leung presents a film programme exploring the complex narratives of Asian and diasporic Asian queer identities. Delving into the concepts of gender, sexuality, and performativity as experienced within various Asian contexts, this talk/ screening amplifies the voices of artists from diverse locations, whose work transcends geographical & cultural boundaries, illuminating the dynamics of queer identities across cultures.
Including a variety of viewpoints, we highlight the unique challenges and insights associated with navigating queer identity in both Asian and Western settings, enhancing the conversation with notions of intersectionality. These often-overlooked narratives are vital for fostering a more inclusive understanding of body, gender, and queer identities.
