Is Tech the New Political Power?
About this Event
Tech companies have been playing a larger role in politics every year, and 2026 is no exception. This year, tech companies have been involved in ballot measures, political lobbying, policy-writing, you name it. It can be difficult to make sense of it all, so join Jonathan Weber and Andrew Keen in conversation to parse it out.
Together, they'll cover the election, the roles tech companies are playing, and the state of politics today.
Jonathan Weber is the author of City on the Edge: Technology, Politics, and the Fight for the Soul of San Francisco, a phenomenal new book that inspired this very conversation. Jonathan has joined us at Manny's before and is one of the best political and tech journalists in the Bay Area.
Andrew Keen is amongst the world's best known technology and politics broadcasters and commentators, having been named one of the "100 most connected men" by GQ magazine. He is the host of the shows Keen on America and How To Fix Democracy and is the author of several books.
