IRS Kansas City Direct Hiring Event – Clerks and Tax Examiners

The IRS is hiring Clerks and Tax Examiners for the Kansas City, MO, Service Center. During this two day, in-person hiring event, we will be reviewing resumes and qualifying applicants for positions on-the-spot. These positions do not require you to have any prior tax experience, as we provide comprehensive training to new hires. They are not telework-eligible and will require you to work at the Kansas City Service Center. ASL interpreters will be available during the event.

About the Positions:

Clerks and Tax Examiners perform a variety of administrative tasks and duties associated with tax administration. These duties will vary based on the position and may include identifying and reviewing forms, preparing inventory reports, reviewing filed material, transcribing taxpayer documents, responding to taxpayer correspondence, resolving account issues, and reviewing tax returns for errors and missing information. We will be offering seasonal positions on various shifts, based on availability.

Day 2: Thursday, February 9, 2023

Time: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM Local Time

Note: Please register for the day and time slot you can attend so we know when to expect you. Although not a guaranteed appointment time, attending at the time chosen will help to keep the event organized and prevent long wait times.
