Iron Brewer MBAA District Ontario

The Iron Brewer is one of our most popular events of the year. Fun, beer, and great venues every time. All proceeds go to The Joel Manning Memorial Scholarship

Your $40 (+fees) ticket includes: Admission to the event and tasting the beers of our contestants. You also get to vote for your favourite beer through the "People's Choice Award".

Here's how the Iron Brewer Competition works.

The contestants, have made beer from the sponsor-donated materials. The contestants can make any style of beer they wish but they have to pick and choose their ingredients from these limited number of donated materials. They will be offering their beer to both the attending audience and three certified beer judges.

14:00 Contestants set-up to serve their beer

14:30 - 15:00 Each contestant makes a short presentation about their beers

15:00 to 17:30 Sampling of the beers and the audience gets a chance to vote for the People's Choice Award. Separately, certified beer judges will be deciding on the Iron Brewer Award.

18:00 Presentation of Iron Brewer and People's Choice Awards

20:00 Event Concludes. Note: Everyone is free to stay afterward and enjoy Merit Brewing's hospitality.
