Join
Irish singer-songwriter and classically trained finger-style
guitarist, Gus Glynn, in a celebration of Irish folk music with a
difference. Expect a heady night of rousing sing-along favourites and
bawdy drinking songs alongside heartfelt ballads and original
finger-style guitar arrangements of choice traditional Irish tunes.
Experience Irish folk scene favourites popularised by The Dubliners,
The Chieftains and Van Morrison, Mary Black, Planxty, Sinead
O’Connor, Shane McGowan and many many more. From the fields of
Athenry and The Wild Rover to obscure treasures of the genre, Gus
explains how adopted songs found their routes to Ireland and how
Irish songs have travelled the world in an inclusive tradition that
has helped to establish happy and healing relationships through
shared enjoyment of folk culture, music and song.

A
selection of new original songs, some tall tales and humorous
anecdotes completes the mix in this unique new show from a proven
rounded
performer.
