Irish Baking Classics : soda bread & old fashioned shortbread "biscuits"

Learn two staples of Irish baking... soda bread and shortbread "biscuits" (they're cookies!) PLUS how to make delicious compound butters.

In this class, you'll:

• make a free-form loaf of classic Irish soda bread from scratch (choose plain white soda bread or a sweet, raisin-studded soda bread)
• make crumbly, buttery shortbread "biscuits" (cookies) completely by hand
• learn how to make delicious flavored butters (demo)
• practice two different hands-on mixing techniques
• learn lots of baking tips you can apply to other recipes
• explore how the ingredients work
• enjoy baking with fellow students
• feel set up for success by friendly, knowledgeable instructors
• leave with lots of delicious goodies you made yourself!

ABOUT MUDDY'S HANDS-ON BAKING CLASSES

Muddy's hands-on baking classes are in-depth AND fun! Class sizes are small so students have ample opportunity for guidance & questions. Your instructor will demonstrate every step of the recipe and be available as you try each step yourself. You will have your own work table and will complete the entire recipe... and of course, you'll leave with your goodies!

Who should participate? Anyone age 15+ who is looking to learn, wants to have fun, or just enjoys baking in company. (We occasionally offer classes for younger bakers; those will be clearly indicated as such).

Are classes wheelchair accessible? Our tables are height-adjustable, so if you need special accommodations, just let us know ahead of time and we'll be sure to have the table and your spot all ready for you!

What about cancellations? Classes are small and space is limited, so all ticket sales are final. Please check the date/time carefully before booking. If you cannot make it to your class, you may gift your ticket to a friend. If Muddy's must cancel the event for any reason, we will inform you asap and fully refund your ticket.
