RAW is a daring flamenco performance featuring dancer Irene Morales, whose movement brings ancestral intensity into sharp dialogue with the present. Rooted in Granada and shaped by Spain’s foremost stages, Morales embodies a dance language that unites precision and instinct, control and vulnerability. The work seeks a state of essentiality—a flamenco pared down to its core, where gesture, sound, and silence uncover emotional truth. Through the interplay of electronic textures, live instruments, and visceral rhythm, RAW opens new terrain for flamenco while remaining grounded in its pulse. Morales’s presence gives form to a living tradition—immediate, luminous, and profoundly human—where flamenco is not fixed in time but continually rediscovered through the body.

Irene Morales began her formal training at the Conservatory of Granada before moving to Madrid to continue her studies at the prestigious María de Ávila Superior Conservatory. During her time in the capital, she combined her studies with performances in several companies, including those of Miguel Ángel Bernal and Rafael Aguilar, and most notably in 2019, when Eva Yerbabuena invited her to join the production Lorca y la Pasión with Marina Heredia, presented at the Generalife Gardens. This marked her return to her hometown of Granada. With remarkable artistic maturity, Irene has been performing since the age of 18, both as a solo artist and with her own company.

RAW es una audaz propuesta de flamenco protagonizada por la bailaora Irene Morales, cuyo movimiento establece un diálogo intenso entre la ancestralidad y la contemporaneidad. Nacida en Granada y formada en los escenarios más importantes de España, Morales encarna un lenguaje de la danza que une precisión e instinto, control y vulnerabilidad. La obra busca un estado de esencialidad: un flamenco reducido a su núcleo, donde el gesto, el sonido y el silencio revelan la verdad emocional. A través del entrelazamiento de texturas electrónicas, instrumentos en vivo y un ritmo visceral, RAW abre nuevos horizontes para el flamenco, sin perder la conexión con su pulso. La presencia de Morales da forma a una tradición viva: inmediata, luminosa y profundamente humana, en la que el flamenco no está fijado en el tiempo, sino que se redescubre continuamente a través del cuerpo.

Irene Morales comenzó su formación formal en el Conservatorio de Granada antes de trasladarse a Madrid para continuar sus estudios en el prestigioso Conservatorio Superior María de Ávila. Durante su estancia en la capital combinó sus estudios con actuaciones en varias compañías, incluyendo las de Miguel Ángel Bernal y Rafael Aguilar, y de manera más destacada en 2019, cuando Eva Yerbabuena la invitó a formar parte de la producción Lorca y la Pasión junto a Marina Heredia, presentada en los Jardines del Generalife, marcando su regreso a Granada. Con una madurez artística notable, Irene ha actuado desde los 18 años, tanto como artista solista como al frente de su propia compañía.
