Iphigenia in Aulis
About this Event
The Greek fleet is stranded at Aulis, unable to sail for Troy. Their commander, Agamemnon, is told that there is only one way to secure the winds they need: he must sacrifice his daughter, Iphigenia.
What follows is a story of impossible choices, divided loyalties and a young woman caught between the ambitions of kings and the demands of the gods.
In our contemporary production, the sun-soaked world of the Greek camp collides with the darkness of Euripides’ story: a world of soldiers, sisters, lovers and leaders preparing for a war that will change them all.
Love unruled becomes a weapon — and a girl becomes a prize.
