🍻 IPA Bracket Challenge is Back 🍻
​After a few years off, the IPA Bracket Challenge is making its return and U-Neek Brewing Company is taking the reins!
​This is an official BJCP-sanctioned competition and a Washington Homebrewer of the Year (WAHA) qualifying event.
​Competition & Style Guidelines
​We are following the BJCP 2021 Style Guidelines:
- ​American IPA (21A)
- ​Specialty IPA (21B)
- ​Hazy IPA (21C)
- ​Double IPA (22A)
- ​Experimental IPAs: Please enter under the base beer style and detail the experimental aspects in your entry notes.
- ​English IPA (12C): Depending on entry volume, these may serve as play-in entries (judged against each other first, then seeded into the 64-beer bracket across all four sub-brackets).
​We will make every effort to group similar styles together in early rounds. The final two beers emerging from each bracket will advance to a Best of Show finale evaluated by three ranked BJCP judges.
​Key Dates & Deadlines
- ​Registration & Entry Window: February 7, 2027 – March 5, 2027
- ​Drop-Off Window: February 13, 2027 – March 7, 2027
- ​Final Drop-Off & Mail-In Deadline: March 7, 2027
- ​Competition Date: March 14, 2027

Brewers will receive entry numbers prior to judging to follow their beers live through the bracket!

- ​Entry Fee: $8 per entry
- ​Bottle Requirements: Three (3) 12 oz bottles per entry
​ - entry Limit: Enter as many distinct IPAs as you like (please do not enter the same beer into multiple categories).
